The Floresville Musical Club met on Jan. 10 in the First Lutheran Church in Floresville for the monthly meeting.

Sarah Gella called the ladies to order and had the guests introduced. She then asked for January birthdays and anniversaries.

Gella then introduced the hostesses: Sandy Vogel, Cynthia Guerrero, Carrie Perkins, Sophia Rodriquez, Margie Davis, Peggy Tipton, Mary Jane Moczygemba, Lea Popham, Sandra Tackitt, Gertrude Eckel, and Chrystal Eckel.

Program chair Peggy Tipton introduced the entertainment for the club: Allison and Katelyn Ling sang songs to celebrate the New Year. Norma Drozd did a book review. The ladies enjoyed the entertainment.

The tables were covered in crème tablecloths, with a winter theme depicting the month of January. The refreshments also depicted the January theme and were delicious.
