ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Trail riders dance Feb. 7 in Falls City

Dance to the music of “Cactus Country” on Tuesday, Feb. 7, from 8 p.m. until midnight in the Falls City Hall, located off U.S. 181 in Falls City, in commemoration of the 53rd anniversary of the South Texas Trail Riders coming through Falls City.

The dance is open to the public, with tickets to be sold at the door.

A limited amount of advance tickets will be sold to the general public for barbecue plates to go. Tickets are available at the Falls City Bank, Falls City Supply, and the Palace Café.
