ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.

Offer condolences


Barbara Adams Heimann, 71, of San Saba, Texas, passed away Monday, Jan. 23, 2012. Barbara was born in San Antonio July 24, 1940, the daughter of Arthur and Alma Wooley. She was a longtime resident of San Saba County, where she worked for many years at Eventide Nursing Home.

Barbara will best be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Heimann; her son, Steve Adams; a great-grandson, Kaleb Sultenfuss; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Alan Adams of Devine, Jodie Sultenfuss and husband Willy of Floresville, Dorothy Harrell and husband Junior of San Saba, Laura Ricciardi and husband David of Cedar Park, William Heimann and wife Brenda of La Vernia, Shirley Ann Gulley and husband Kenny of St. Hedwig, Gerald Heimann and wife Ida of Stockdale, Sherry Williams and husband Gary of El Paso, Stephanie Seidenberger of New Braunfels, and Jennifer Heimann of New Braunfels. She also leaves behind 24 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Thursday, Jan. 26, from 6-8 p.m. in the Blaylock Funeral Chapel in San Saba.

A funeral service was held Friday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Interment followed in the Harris Cemetery in San Saba.
