Offer condolences


Rosemarie Jean “Jeannie” Curnow, 43, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, after a courageous 22-month battle with cancer. Jeannie went to be with her Lord in her home in Floresville, Texas, surrounded by her family. Jeannie was born June 11, 1968, in San Antonio.

Jeannie touched the lives of many people with her humor, smile, and positive attitude.

She was welcomed into heaven by her grandfather, Frederick Wright; her stepfather, Morris Ritchie; and her father-in-law, Fred Curnow Sr.

Jeannie is survived by her husband, Fred; her daughter, Megan; her parents, Rosemarie Ritchie and Richard Jackson; her brother, Rick Parker; and her sister, Yvette Maris. She also has many friends and extended family members who will miss her dearly.

Visitation was held Friday, Jan. 27, from 5-9 p.m. in the Mission Park Funeral Chapels South in San Antonio, with a rosary recited at 6 p.m.

A funeral service was held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Interment followed in the Mission Park Burial Park South in San Antonio.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Therapy & Research Center, UT Health Science Center San Antono, 7703 Floyd Curl Drive, San Antonio, TX 78229-3900, to support further research to combat Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) in honor of Jeannie.
