William ‘Billy’ Edward Janek passed away Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012. He was born Feb. 22, 1955, the son of Felux and Lillie Merta Janek.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Billy is survived by his wife, Denyse Fallon Janek; his children, William “Billy” Edward Janek Jr. and wife Lucretia, Adam Janek and wife Pamela, Shelby DeReese and wife Denise, Brandon Janek and wife Jennifer, Leslie Janek and husband Rocky, and Shawna Seals and husband Faust; and his grandchildren, Bailee Saenz, Will Janek, Walker Janek, Jordan Janek, Parker DeReese, Justin Janek, Faith Burns, Mason Janek, and Peyton Janek. He is also survived by his siblings, Adela Lee, Lillian Beam, Felix Janek Jr., Victor Janek, Freddy Janek, Mary Jane Ivey, Richard Janek, and Benny Janek.

A memorial service was held Sunday, Jan. 29, from 2-5 p.m. in the Dobie Funeral Home in Mathis, Texas.

Big Enough to Keep

“God grant that I may fish

until my dying day.

And when it comes to my last cast,

I then most humbly pray,

When in the Lord’s safe landing net,

I am peacefully asleep,

That in His mercy I be judged as big

enough to keep.”
