The U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service reminds agriculture producers that the ranking period cut-off date for the Environmental Quality Incentives Program is Friday, Feb. 3. Producers interested in this program should submit applications to their local Natural Resources Conservation Service office by the deadline so their applications can be considered during the first ranking period of 2012.

One of the largest programs in the Farm Bill, the Environmental Quality Incentive Program is a voluntary conservation program that promotes environmental quality and assists producers to meet local, state, and federal regulations.

Applications made after the deadline will be considered in the next funding cycle.

Additional information is available from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Service Center located on U.S. 181 in Floresville or visit www.tx.nrcs.usda.gov/programs/.
