The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conser-vation Service reminds agriculture producers that the ranking period cut-off date for the Wetlands Reserve Enhancement Program is Friday, Feb. 17, and the Farm and Ranch Lands Protection Program is Thursday, March 1.

Producers interested in these programs should submit applications to their county Natural Resources Conservation Service office by the deadline so their applications can be considered during the first ranking period of 2012.

Applications for programs are accepted year-round, but cutoff dates are announced for funding cycles.

For more information, call Jason Katcsmorak at 830-393-3555, ext. 3, or visit the office located at 1106 10th St. (U.S. 181) in Floresville.
