1922-2012

Josephine Bell Fordtran Bain, beloved wife of Frank L. Bain Sr., passed away on Monday night, Jan. 30, 2012. She was born Oct. 3, 1922, in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of William and Josephine Fordtran. A San Antonio native of the Tobin family and a Canary Island descendant, her family moved to Stockdale during the Depression, and it was there that she met the love of her life, Frank. They married just two days after Pearl Harbor, on Dec. 9, 1941, and except for service during the war, made their home in Devine. . . .
