Cemetery restoration group to meet Feb. 16

The next meeting of the Floresville Cemeteries Restoration Association will be held Thursday, Feb. 16, at 11:30 a.m. in Jack’s Café located on U.S. 181 in Floresville.

The guest speaker will be Jesse Perez, executive director of the Floresville Economic Development Corp. Perez will speak on the history of all the 10 cemeteries in the city limits of Floresville.

Virgil Russell, president of the association, is seeking names of war veterans who do not have a flag on their grave. For information or to submit names of deceased veterans needing flags, contact Russell at 830-393-9238 or
