February events at Audubon Center

The Mitchell Lake Audubon Center at 10750 Pleasanton Road in San Antonio will be hosting the following February events:

•Learning From Historic Texas Landscape Designs with Mike Pecen, Saturday, Feb. 18, from 10 a.m. to noon. The class will be held both indoors and outdoors, and will explore the idea of creating contemporary conservation-conscious landscapes guided by the lessons and successes of the past.

The program fee is $10 for MLAC members, $15 for nonmembers.

•TogetherGreen Community Volunteer Day will take place Saturday, Feb. 25, from 9 a.m. to noon, and will consist of preparing the Center’s native plant gardens for the spring. No experience is necessary, ages 12 and up.

Reservations are required for both events as space is limited.
