LA VERNIA -- The Wilson County Wildlife Management Association will hold its quarterly meeting this Saturday, Feb. 11, from 2-4 p.m. in the Guadalupe Valley Electric Cooperative community room, located at 13849 U.S. 87 W.

Tom and Patsy Inglet will talk about birds and bird habitats, and how to attract and report birds on your land. Robert Perez will also speak at the meeting, discussing management and hunting of Rio Grande turkeys.

The meeting is being sponsored by James Strunk of Extreme Taxidermy, and a K2 professional grade cooler will be given away as a door prize.

The management association is a local, nonprofit organization with the goal of improving wildlife habitat and populations in Wilson County. Membership is open to landowners and their families, entities, operators, trustees, executors, administrators, and lessees of property within Wilson County. Hunters and nonhunters alike are welcome to join.
