Rosie Ramirez, 9, is proud to be this year’s Sacred Heart School Valentine Princess.

Her parents are Sandra and Roy Ramirez Jr. Rosie has a sister, Emily, who also attends Sacred Heart School. She also has several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is the third generation to attend Sacred Heart. Her great-grandmother, Elena Ramirez, and her late great-grandfather, Ramiro Ramirez, sent their six children -- Ramiro Jr., Richard “Dickey,’” Roy, Rene, Robert, and Rosella -- to Sacred Heart School.

Rosie is the granddaughter of Crisanta Flores and the late Baldemar Flores Sr., and Angelita “Helen” and Roy Ramirez Sr., who also sent both their sons to Sacred Heart.

She was born May 24, 2002. Rosie has attended Sacred Heart since 2007. She loves her school and church. She is a fourth-grader in Maggie Cheek’s class. Rosie’s favorite subjects are reading, handwriting, and math. She loves participating in Destination Imagination.

Rosie’s favorite things to do are cooking, knitting, swimming, playing outside, and spending any time she can with her longtime friend, Alexis Barrera.
