Patsy Ruth (Prescott) Lauer, 72, of San Marcos, Texas, passed away Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012. Patsy was born July 7, 1939, the daughter of Emmett Lee and Jewel Matilda (Combs) Prescott.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Prescott.

Patsy is survived by her husband, Ford J. Lauer Jr.; her son, Danny Ray Archie; her stepchildren, Ford J. Lauer III and Cynthia Crockett and husband Roger; her granddaughter, Brandy; her sisters, Charlotte Holliday and husband Wayne, Barbara Conrad and husband Curtis, Kay Broyles and husband Dan, and Sherry Taber and husband Earl; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 17, from 9-10 a.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.

A funeral service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
