FLORESVILLE -- Sacred Heart School in Floresville announces its seventh annual Wine & Art Festival on Saturday, Feb. 25, from 6-11 p.m.

Several new things are planned for this year. One exciting change is the venue. This year’s festival will be held in the Floresville Event Center on S.H. 97. The festival seems to have outgrown the Wilson County Show Barn, and that is a good thing! The Event Center will provide the Wine & Art Festival with a more spacious seating arrangement and serving tables prepared and managed by Heart’s Desire Catering of Jourdanton, with a delicious new menu, too!

The festival was introduced this year with something new, an Artists Reception and preview opportunity for supporters, held Jan. 21 in Floresville. This gave many community members the opportunity to meet the artists, and the artists welcomed the chance to meet Sacred Heart School students in attendance.

The Sacred Heart School Wine & Art Festival culminates in an exciting live auction of original artwork, limited prints, and other items, including works by Vie Dunn-Harr, Jack White, Mikki Senkarik, and Monica K. Flores, among other artists.

The Wine & Art Festival provides members of the community the opportunity to appreciate fine art donated specifically for this occasion, taste the complimentary wine selections, and enjoy each other’s company during the gourmet meal.

Opportunities to support the school through this event include corporate sponsorships. Platinum sponsors of a table for 10 will receive three bottles of wine, individual gifts at each place setting, recognition on the event program, a tabletop display, and recognition on the school’s website for one year. Other levels of sponsorship also are available.

Tickets are $50 per person. These are available from Sacred Heart School at 1007 Trail St. in Floresville, or by calling 830-393-2117, and from the Wilson County News office at 1012 C St. in Floresville or by calling 830-216-4519.

All proceeds benefit Sacred Heart School, the only Catholic school in Wilson County. It has educated children and fostered faith since 1933.

For sponsorship or more information, call Kristen Weaver at 830-216-4519.
