Help Wanted

The City of Poth is currently accepting applications for the position of Chief of Police. The Chief is responsible for all operational and administrative aspects of the police department, provide patrol, criminal investigations, crime prevention, enforce all laws and ordinances and be responsible for public health and safety. Must be community oriented, have strong public relations skills, strong work ethics, must be physically fit and maintain a professional image while in uniform. A High School Diploma or GED is required. Must have a valid Class C or higher Texas Driverís License. Must be TCLEOSE Master Peace Officer certified and have at least 5 years of experience with law enforcement agency; SWAT, Gang Unit, Narcotics or Detective experience a plus, pass a thorough background check investigation with drug screen and credit check. The City offers benefit package with retirement plan and medical insurance. Salary dependent on qualifications. EOE. Paul and Mary Rutledge of Kosciusko, Texas, are proud to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Lynnette Renee, to Marshall Edwin Flieller, the son of Michael Flieller of Floresville and Jacquie Tackett of San Antonio.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Chester and Elaine Pawelek of San Antonio and Paul Rutledge of Floresville, Linda Schultz of Floresville, and the late Betty Rutledge, formerly of Floresville.

The prospective groom is the grandson of John and Melba Dunn of Floresville, and the late Edwin “Sonny” Flieller, formerly of Floresville, and Anita Tackett of San Antonio and the late Bob Tackett.

Lynnette, a 2005 graduate of La Vernia High School, is a 2011 graduate of Texas A&M University-San Antonio. She is currently employed with Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union.

Marshall, a 2004 graduate of Floresville High School, is a 2010 graduate of Community College Air Force. He currently works for Boeing in San Antonio and as a U.S. Air Force reservist.

The couple plan to wed on Saturday, April 14, 2012, in Floresville, Texas.
