RACINE, Wis. -- Case Construction Equipment has announced Jan. 13 in a press release that Rick Cavaness of Helotes, Texas, is one of 59 semifinalists who competed in the Case Triple Threat Rodeo Championship event on Jan. 24 at the 2012 World of Concrete show in Las Vegas. The event rewards the most talented equipment operators in North America. Funds raised help support Habitat for Humanity efforts.

Cavaness, who works for Alamo Backhoe Service Inc. in Helotes, faced off against the most talented equipment operators in North America in a series of skill-testing challenges using a Case skid steer loader, wheel loader, and loader/backhoe, three machines in common use in construction, landscaping, and related applications.

Cavaness won the local Triple Threat Rodeo competition on June 4 at ASCO, the Case dealership in San Antonio, where he received a $500 cash prize for finishing first.

Cavaness has operated construction equipment for 30 years. The thing he likes most about his job is “the customer service and doing business the old fashion way, taking the time to please customers and making sure they are completely satisfied with all services.”
