Four Poth students were selected to perform with the Association of Texas Small School Bands (ATSSB) Concert Band Dec. 5, 2011. Tryouts were Nov. 28.

Students receiving chairs were Jessica Coronado, 6th chair alto sax; Yarisa Ramon, 7th chair trumpet; Brandon Darr, 3rd chair French horn; and Dorian Buitron, 8th chair clarinet.

Fellow band member Daniel Soto, an eighth-grader, earned a spot in the Texas Music Educators Association All District Band. He placed in the top 20 chairs out of 85 flute participants, mostly from junior high schools.

This is Jessica’s fifth consecutive year to make an ATSSB band, Brandon’s fourth year, and Dorian’s third.
