At Poth Independent School District (ISD), students are offered multiple forms of college preparation from dual credit classes to career and college exploration to PSATs. Recently, the school participated in College Go! Week -- a week devoted entirely to informing students of everything they need to truly be college-ready.

Elementary school students participated in many activities including decorating college pennants, a door-decorating contest, and college and career exploration activities. Secondary students organized a four-year binder to keep track of awards, honors, and community service, took practice college entrance exams, and completed college applications.

Poth PTO sponsored an essay contest in conjunction with College Go! Week to encourage students and families to start saving for college early. Students in kindergarten through 12th grade entered one of three contests to win scholarships.
