It had nothing to do with the Catholic Church, singularly, or Obama's high regard for all women receiving 'free' contraception. It has everything to do with achieving several final, socialistic goals. It was about his re-election campaign for 2012 ... the first goal he must achieve. How he gains incremental steps in his ultimate final goals can be explained by a short review of Saul Alinsy's book entitled Rules for Radicals. This is the heart of his very soul, and, he truly believes in everything he is doing.
In Alinsk'ys book he explains that a radical community organizer must always create a diversion from the real goal he wishes to achieve. Secondly, one of Alinsy's rules is that the 'end always justifies the means'. Simply put, one can lie, cheat, steal, embezzle, bribe, or extort one's way to achieving one's ultimate goal, and, the mere fact that the final goal is achieved will justify the means by which it was reached. Thirdly, never place yourself in a position of receiving blame for a failure but always in a position for taking credit for a success.
The Catholic Church is the diversion. But, it's not the only diversion. Why did he choose the Catholic Church. It's by far the largest single denomination in the country. And, in this case the most vocal ... for a while, until the protestant church leaders recognized that the plan included all women of all denominations. That diversion worked for a week or so until it began to die down in the newspapers and network news. He needed another news worthy diversion. Hence, the compromise which he knew would not be acceptable but would be news worthy for an even a longer period of time. His strategy worked. We are still debating or arguing about everything except the final goals he is seeking.
It's estimated he's lost the support of 20+% of the women voters who voted for him in 2008. He's got to get them back or his re-election bid will fail. If this attempt on offering free contraception to all women works, and he retrieves the lost votes of the women, he has a good chance of achieving his first goal, his re-election to a second term, and a bonus win for both of his ultimate goals ... an increase in the number of government dependents and a foothold into the major, private sector insurance companies. This is a crucial goal to implementing the 'surprise' programs that lie hidden within The Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare).
I agree with Elaine Kolodziejs' final thought in her wonderful editorial "It's about more than birth control and Catholics" in last week's Wilson County News that ObamaCare is the interim, but necessary goal to achieving what our president has sought from the very beginning. Put all these goals together and you reach Obama's 'dream' goal of universal, one-payer, governmental health care ... every citizen's forced dependence on the government and complete governmental control of the private insurance business and the private pharmaceutical companies.
My friends, if we don't soon speak up in a huge way, we will be introduced to a new form of government we all detest without a recourse to rid ourselves of it ... think Greece! I just recently returned from Athens and it ain't pretty! What Greece, Italy, Spain and others are trying to get out of is exactly where we are headed if we don't soon stand up and take our country back through our vote in November. |
