You may have heard that eating carrots could help improve your eyesight. Now, a study from the University of Georgia may add veggies such as spinach, pumpkin and squash to the better-vision grocery list. Researchers reviewed several studies on the subject and concluded that lutein and zeaxanthin, two pigments that contribute to leafy greens’ and colored fruits’ hue, could help improve eyesight, reduce the glare from light absorption and may help prevent macular degeneration and cataract.
