The Stockdale Watermelon Jubilee Alumni Association will host a “Second Chance Formal Wear Sale for a Cause” and is asking for donations through Thursday, March 1.

Donations of formal wear such as prom dresses, party dresses, bridesmaid dresses, tuxedos, suits, and accessories are being sought to resell the items at a reasonable price.

Most ladies will buy a dress, wear it one night for the special occasion, and not wear it again. The alumni association members will offer the dresses at a deep discounted price and give that beautiful outfit another opportunity to shine.

The sale is set for Sunday, March 4, from 2-6 p.m. in the Stockdale City Hall, located on West Main Street in Stockdale. The date was chosen to assist with the upcoming proms for the Wilson County schools.

All proceeds will benefit the Stockdale Senior Citizen Holiday Meal that takes place in December.

To donate any formal wear or for more information, contact Donna Skloss at 830-391-0226 or Gennie Rangel at 830-391-3504.
