La Vernia plans first-ever MusicFest

Sponsors are invited to participate in the inaugural La Vernia Musicfest, set for Saturday, April 14, at the La Vernia City Park from 3-10 p.m. This first-ever event will be hosted by a new organization, the La Vernia Foundation for the Arts.

Live music by several professional bands will include the genres of jazz, rhythm and blues, and crooners.

In addition to the music, there will be gourmet food vendors, cooking demonstrations, wine pairings, and libations.

Tickets will be $8 in advance and $10 at the door.

Proceeds will fund scholarship programs and future events sponsored by the foundation.
