Texas author and illustrator “Aunt Judy” paid a recent visit to La Vernia Primary School. Aunt Judy read her books, presented a drawing lesson, and engaged students in an interactive discussion. Plus, the entire student body danced the chicken dance!

Her book, Chickens On The Go!, is about chickens from all over the world, such as AmericHENS, MexicHENS, AfricHENS, and more. Written in rhyme and colorfully illustrated, it teaches children racial and cultural harmony.

Chickens In The Know! is another book about chickens with different occupations, such as librariHENS, constructHEN workers, HENgineers, and others. This book teaches children that every job is important and we should all take pride in what we do.
