Help Wanted

ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.

Lazaro Borjon passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, in Floresville, Texas, at the age of 66 years, 2 months, and 8 days. He was born Dec. 17, 1945, in San Diego de Alvala, Durango, Mexico, the son of Eustacio C. and Maria Borjon. He was a resident of Floresville for 32 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marrie Borjon; his parents; his brother, Salvador Borjon; and his son, Manuel Fuentes.

He is survived by his children, Yolanda Martinez of Floresville, Linda Borjon of Louisiana, Tomasa Cazares of Floresville, Jasmine Borjon of Floresville, Julie Borjon of San Antonio, Pedro Fuentes of Ohio, Robert Ramirez of Floresville, and Danny Ramirez of Floresville; his sisters, Felipa Madrigal of San Antonio, Maria Herrera of San Antonio, Lupe Jimenez of Hereford, Elvira Hernandez of Dallas, and Clemencia Mauricio of Kyle; his brothers, Juan Borjon of San Antonio, Jose Borjon of Phoenix, Ariz., and Jacinto Borjon of Devine; 13 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 5 p.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home in Floresville, with a prayer service held at 7 p.m.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Guadalupe Mireles officiating.

Interment will follow in the Cañada Verde Cemetery in Wilson County.
