Thelma Rich Braun, 88, went to be with her Lord on Monday, Feb. 20, 2012. Thelma was born Oct. 30, 1923, in San Antonio, Texas, to Robert and Rose Kempf Rich.

She was a longtime member of the Christ Lutheran Church of Elm Creek in New Berlin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fritz Braun; her brothers, Robert Rich Jr., Joe Rich, and Jim Rich; her granddaughter, Lisa Brown; and her great-grandson, Evan Braun.

Thelma is survived by her daughter, Jeanette Brown and husband Asher; her sons, Charles Braun and wife Peggy and Richard Braun and wife Barbara; her brother, Dan Rich; her sister, Catherine Brozozowski; her sisters-in-law, Laura Rich and Sylvia Braun; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a large church family.

Visitation was held Thursday, Feb. 23, from 5-8 p.m. in the Mission Park Funeral Chapels South in San Antonio and Friday at 9 a.m. in the Christ Lutheran Church of Elm Creek in New Berlin.

A funeral service was held Friday at 10 a.m. in the church.

Interment followed in the Christ Lutheran Church of Elm Creek Cemetery in New Berlin.

Serving as pallbearers were Kevin Brown, Chris Brown, Greg Braun, Christian Brown, Ryan Brown, and Jason Dildy.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Christ Lutheran Church of Elm Creek Building Fund, 3305 Church Road, Seguin, TX 78155.
