Letter: Obama is not our man
As we watched the presidential debates and saw the ugly ads about the candidates, we wondered what is really true.
We must decide who is best for our country and what will make this country great again. It is easy to only think about what is best for you as an individual, but that doesn’t work for the good of the country.
Some want to keep us divided by race and income, and by political affiliation. Why can’t we just be Americans who want what’s best for everyone?
People voted for Barack Obama because of his promises. He was young and nice-looking and very articulate. He said what we wanted to hear. While most people didn’t care what race he was, others voted for him because of his race. Still others voted against him just because of his race.
Now, as Americans, we have to decide if he has kept all those promises. We see that he has not brought us together.
He has not brought down the debt, but instead raised it to over $15 trillion and rising. He talks about creating jobs, but the government can’t create jobs, unless it is useless government jobs.
Obama shot down the Keystone oil pipeline that would bring thousands of American jobs. Gas prices and food prices have skyrocketed. The housing market is in the tank and we are losing doctors every day because of Obamacare.
Now he wants the “1 percent” of Americans to pay more, while 47 percent pay nothing. America is broke, and China owns us. We can’t continue this.
He gave billions for “green jobs” to a company that went bankrupt. That was our money he lost. Our new light bulbs are made in Mexico.
No, Obama is not our man. Of all the candidates, Herman Cain was the best. He had lived in our shoes and knows what it is like to be low or middle income. He has never been in government, which means he was just an American wanting what was best for us.
Cain was the only one who made Obama nervous, and that is why he is gone. Obama knew he would divide the black vote and couldn’t use the race card with him.
My other favorite is Rick Santorum. He stands for family values. He loves this country and wants good things for it.
We can see for ourselves what Obama has done over the past three years and that will speak for itself. Do we want to continue with President Obama, or will we elect a great man with great values, who loves his country, and has lived a life similar to most Americans?
This will be our last chance to get this right, or our great country will change forever, and not for the good.
