Alton and Mary Helen Tieken of Floresville, Texas, are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Caryl, to Dr. Ron Burnett, the son of Bill and Sybil Nestor of Long Island, N.Y., and Ron and Cherie Burnett of Whidbey Island, Wash.

The bride-elect, a 1991 graduate of Floresville High School, is a 1997 graduate of Texas A&M University. She has been in salon/spa management for 20 years.

The prospective groom, a 1987 graduate of Northport, N.Y., High School, is a 1998 graduate of Life University, College of Chiropractic, in Atlanta, Ga. The groom, owner of Inner Sun Chiropractic, has been serving the Austin community since 1999.

The couple were engaged in Paris, France, in July of 2011 and have a May 19, 2012, wedding planned on Lanai, Hawaii.

The couple will reside in Austin, Texas.
