La Vernia gears up for livestock show this week
Bluebonnet 4-H Club member Hunter Skrzycki blowdries a goat after washing it so his sister can clip its hair for the livestock show.
On the heels of the conclusion of the San Antonio Livestock Show & Rodeo, volunteers continue to prep the La Vernia Chamber of Commerce grounds for the 55th La Vernia Junior Livestock and Poultry Show. The show, sponsored by the La Vernia Chamber of Commerce, will be held Thursday through Saturday, March 1-3, on the chamber grounds off U.S. 87 in La Vernia.
Youth are the future of our world, and it’s the chamber’s endeavor to assist them in being able to complete their 4-H and FFA projects by securing funds through the auction sale that will help them secure their dream of college or technical school, advancing the education for our next generation of workers.
