1934-2012

Joe F. Kyselica, 77, of Hobson, Texas, passed away Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, in San Antonio. He was born in Hobson Sept. 18, 1934, the son of Joseph R. and Emma Uhlrich Kyselica.

Joe served his country in the U.S. Army. He was an active member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Hobson. Joe was a member of the KJT Society No. 41 and a former member and officer of the Holy Name Society.

Joe and his wife, Florence, married on Sept. 15, 1962, in St. Boniface Catholic Church. He was a carpenter, farmer, and rancher.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Kyselica.

Joe is survived by his wife, Florence Kyselica of Hobson; his daughters, Jane Dudycha and husband Dean of San Antonio and Vivian Swierc and husband Jon of Falls City; his grandchildren, Sean Dudycha, Jon Swierc Jr., Joseph Swierc, Shanna Swierc, and Jacob Swierc; and his sisters, Clara Taylor and Agnes Zaiontz and husband Thomas.

Visitation was held Wednesday, Feb. 29, from 1-4 p.m. in the Rhodes Funeral Chapel in Karnes City.

A rosary was recited Wednesday at 7 p.m. in St. Boniface Catholic Church in Hobson.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in the church.

Interment followed in the Hobson Cemetery in Hobson.
