Letter: A generous thank you
Morgan’s Wonderland is proud to have been chosen by ABC-TV to be the first nonprofit ever to build an “Extreme Makeover” home. During nine previous seasons, the popular TV show built 211 homes for deserving individuals throughout the United States, and with our “build” slated to be aired as the close of the “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” series, they saved the best for last. Your commitment, focus, and hard work helped make it all possible!
I have always believed that the people of San Antonio and this part of South Central Texas are some of the friendliest, most generous people to be found anywhere. You gave of your time, your talent, and your resources to come together to accomplish the impossible. With your help, we built a house for a very deserving Wounded Warrior and his family in 108 hours! Your generosity humbles us all.
Thank you for contributing so much to the success of this worthy cause. Our community came together to provide everything needed -- from the building materials, to the food to feed more than 3,000 volunteers and so much more!
You’ve heard me say numerous times, “Together, we can make a difference!” I believe the tremendous teamwork resulting from “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” again proved me right. Thank you for making a HUGE difference.
GORDON V. HARTMAN
