The South Texas stock show season is well under way. While exhibitors are competing in the Houston Livestock Show, a county show is set to begin just down the road in Gonzales County. This week, the Nixon-Smiley Livestock Show will be held Friday and Saturday, March 9-10, in the Nixon-Smiley Show Barn, located off U.S. 87 in Nixon. . . .
