AUSTIN - A man last seen in San Antonio is now one of the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders and a $3,000 cash reward is being offered for tips leading to his arrest. All tips can be offered anonymously.

William Stevens Gordon Jr., 48, has been wanted since he failed to register as a sex offender in Bexar County more than 10 years ago. He is also wanted by the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office for probation violation. Gordon is considered a high-risk sex offender, which means there is a high probability that he will reoffend.

His lengthy criminal history includes child stealing, multiple indecency with a child convictions, evading arrest and drug possession.

Gordon’s aliases include Bill Stevens or William Stevens. His previous work experience includes business development and computer consulting. For more information and to view his wanted poster: http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/Texas10MostWanted/SexOffenderDetails.aspx?&fugitive=William Stevens Gordon Jr&id=115.

Texas Crime Stoppers, which is funded by the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division, offers cash rewards to any person who provides information that leads to the arrest of one of the Texas 10 Most Wanted fugitives or sex offenders, http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/texas10mostwanted/.

Anyone with information can provide anonymous tips in three different ways:
Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).
Text the letters DPS--followed by your tip--to 274637 (CRIMES) from your cell phone.
Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about, and then clicking on the link under their picture.

All calls, texts or e-mails are anonymous, and tipsters will be given a tip number. You do not have to give your name.

Do not attempt to apprehend these fugitives yourself; they are considered armed and dangerous.
