Ernesto Marquez, 47, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012. He was born Nov. 7, 1964, the son of Miguel and Maria (Villegas) Marquez.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ernesto is survived by his brothers, Benigno Marquez, Juan Marquez, Pascual Marquez, Jose Marquez, Roberto Marquez, Angilberto Marquez, Dumience Marquez, and Hirineo Marquez; his sisters, Celia Martinez and Eva Torres; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation took place Friday, March 9, from 5-8 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Stockdale, with a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday at 2 p.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Stockdale with Father Dennis Jarzombek officiating.

Interment followed in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Stockdale, Texas.

Memorial contributions may be made by way of Mass cards.
