Help Wanted

ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.

Robbie “Bobbie” Weber, 98, of Nixon, Texas, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012, in Seguin. She was born on June 21, 1913, in Nopal.

Robbie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Nixon, a Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star, a member of the Old Three Hundred, and the Retired Teachers Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Milton and Ann (Parker) Hattenbach; her sister, Bernice Horton; and her husband, Earle T. Weber, on June 9, 1974. They were married in Nixon on June 4, 1934.

Robbie is survived by her daughter, Diane Box and husband James of Athens, Ga.; her son, Tom Weber and wife Joy of Nixon; seven grandchildren, Dr. Brent Box and wife Cheryl of Calhoun, Ga., Dr. Rebecca Davis and husband Don of Austin, Mark Box and wife Michelle of Menlo, Calif., Dr. Craig Box and wife Elizabeth of Calhoun, Ga., Matthew Weber and wife Kelli of Portland, Texas, Jeremy Weber and wife Jodi of Mount Pleasant, and Joshua Weber and wife Zari of New Braunfels; 13 great-grandchildren, Andrew Davis, Kristin Davis Nine, Mariel Box, J.B. Box, Laura Davis, Mary Beth Box, Erin Box, John David Box, Zane Box, Patrick Box, C.J. Box, Kevin Box, and Caroline Box; one nephew; one niece; numerous cousins; and many friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 14, from 6-8 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the funeral chapel.

Interment will follow in the Nixon Cemetery in Nixon.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Nixon Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 427, Nixon, TX 78140, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
