Fernando S. Courvier of Floresville, Texas, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2012, at the age of 66 years, 7 months, and 21 days.

Fernando was born on Aug. 19, 1945, in Floresville to Matias and Antonia Courvier. He was a lifelong resident of Floresville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Guadalupe Courvier; his brothers, Joe Courvier and Matias Courvier Jr.; his sisters, Otilla Lugo, Felice Montoya, and Herlinda Marroquin.

Fernando is survived by his children, Betty Rosas and husband Gabriel of Floresville, Mary Francis Cervantes and husband Mario of Floresville, and Anna M. Courvier of Floresville; his sisters, Lupe Martinez and Petra Arriola, both of San Antonio; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A rosary was recited in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville on Friday, March 16, at 3:30 p.m.

A funeral Mass immediately followed in the church with the Rev. Phil Henning officiating.

Inurnment followed in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Floresville.
