Help Wanted

ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.

Reynaldo Barrera Flores, a lifelong resident of Wilson County, Texas, entered eternal rest Saturday, March 17, 2012, at 5:35 a.m. in his residence in Floresville at the age of 68 years, 3 months, and 4 days. Reynaldo was born Dec. 13, 1943, in Wilson County, the son of Fernando and Consuela Barrera Flores.

He graduated from Floresville High School, and worked in occupational therapy for many years.

Reynaldo is survived by his loving wife, Mary Gloria Tejeda; his children, Robert R. Herrera and wife Jean, Yvonne “Bonnie” D’Andrea and husband Jeff, and Gabriel Ray Flores; his grandchildren, Aaron Rene, Jessica Nicole, and Samantha Rae Herrera, Nathan Anthony and Justin Gabriel D’Andrea, and Jude Marley Flores; his sisters, Melecia Estrada and Alice Rios; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Thursday, March 22, at 3 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville.

A funeral service was held Thursday at 4 p.m. in the church with Father Phillip Henning officiating.
