1926-2012

Lucy P. Rogers, 85, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012. She was born Oct. 30, 1926, the daughter of Jacob and Mary (Rakowitz) Padalecki.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, W. L. Rogers.

Lucy is survived by her sister, Josephine Moravitz of Kerrville; her brother, Bennie Padalecki and wife Shirley of Adkins; numerous nieces and nephews; and best friend Pat Faircloth.

Visitation took place Thursday, March 22, from 6-7 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Friday at 2 p.m. in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in St. Hedwig, with Father Bill Zadora officiating.

Entombment followed in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery in St. Hedwig, Texas.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718; or the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 8th Ave., Seventh Floor, New York, NY 10001.
