James D. “Jim” Wilson, 70, of Nixon, Texas, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012, in Seguin. He was born May 13, 1941, in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of Robert J. and Florence (O’Connor) Wilson. Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jim is survived by his wife since Dec. 7, 1977, Pam (Malatek) Wilson; his brother, Robert “Bob” Wilson of Lancaster, Ohio; his sister-in-law, Gayle Padgett of Cost; and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many friends.

Visitation was held Sunday, March 25, from 12-2 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon.

A funeral service was held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Deacon John Moreno officiating.

A private graveside service was held in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
