Floresville plans bug ‘raid’ April 6

The city of Floresville has arranged with the city of Pleasanton to spray for mosquitoes throughout Floresville this evening, April 6, from 5-10 p.m. approximately.

The city is anticipating many residents being out and about -- especially in the parks -- over the Easter weekend, and knew there would be a need, with the large number of mosquitoes following recent rains, according to Interim Parks & Recreation Director Carolyn Leal-Palacios.

The spraying will begin at approximately 5 p.m., and takes between four and five hours to complete. Spraying will take place throughout the parks and streets of Floresville.

Residents with questions or concerns can call Leal-Palacios at 830-391-1814, or City Manager Andy Joslin at 830-391-1975.
