FLORESVILLE -- Floresville businessman Jim Miller is asking for personnel from the offices of the state’s Attorney General, 81st Judicial District Attorney, and the Wilson County Attorney to begin an investigation into the actions of Floresville’s mayor and city council and the Floresville Economic Development Corp. (FEDC).

The complaint, which Miller filed today, alleges that violations of the Texas Open Meetings Act occurred during the April 2 FEDC board meeting -- specifically the presence of a quorum of the city council and two of those council members being present during a closed session meeting of the corporation’s board. Miller also indicated that FEDC Executive Director Jesse Perez told the board that the Floresville City Council asked the corporation to allocate funds for the proposed sports complex project. The council, to date, has not taken any such action in an open meeting.

And I thought the old Crystal City mob either died off or left the state. It appears they all moved to Floresville.

> Looks like the sport complex is a go.

Didn't the Mayor say this wasn't being considered in the Town Hall this spring? Not very trustworthy.
