Seldra Lynn McGee Weaver passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012, in the Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.

A native of Jasper and a former resident of Floresville and Vernal, Utah, Seldra had resided in Jasper since 2002. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing and traveling.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Shaver and husband Dewayne of Jasper; four grandchildren, Amber Shaver Orchosky, Ashlee Shaver, Autumn Shaver Fruge, and Daniel Iles, all of Jasper; and four great-grandchildren, Madison Folsom, Chloe Solly, Tayven Medly, and Blayzelyn Fruge, all of Jasper.

Visitation was held Thursday, April 5, from 5-8 p.m. in the Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper.

A funeral service was held Friday at 1 p.m. in the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Jasper.

Interment followed in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Jasper.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
