Mesquite Traildrivers will celebrate its 47th anniversary on Saturday, April 14, with a trail ride and dance.

Riders will gather for the trail ride at the Mesquite Hall, located at 11663 Ford Road in Adkins. Ride out is at 9 a.m., ending at noon for lunch. The second ride back out is set for 1:30 p.m., returning around 4:30 pm. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m.

The cost for the ride is $15 for members and $20 for non-members; children, ages 5 and under, free. The cost for the ride includes lunch, dinner, and the dance.

A dance, with music by “Natalie Rose,” will be held from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. The dance is open to the public.

The Mesquite Traildrivers organization was started in 1965 by Charles Terrill Sr., who was the founding father and the first trail boss. Terrill established this club for the neighborhood children who were interested in riding horses and the organization has continued to grow to more than 1,200.

For information, call Mark Dickson at 210-416-3376.
