SEGUIN -- The Texas Lutheran University/Mid-Texas Symphony Community Music Academy (CMA) summer and fall 2012 registration is now open.

Summer offerings include Strings Summer Camp, Vocal Arts Camp, and private lessons in strings and guitar. Fall offerings include private string and guitar lessons and ensembles. Registration for fall ends Sept. 1 but those who register before May 31 will receive a 10 percent discount.

The Strings Summer Camp is a musical week with something for everyone first through 12th grade who are experienced violin, viola, or cello students, or beginners with no previous experience. The Strings Camp takes place August 6-10 from 1-5 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Seguin. Tuition is $100 for the first family member and $75 for additional siblings. Registration ends Aug. 1.

Strings private lessons and ensembles for summer and fall 2012 are also open for registration. The fall registration deadline is Sept. 1 for private string and guitar lessons, youth orchestra, and youth choir.

The Vocal Arts Camp offers a full week of singing and fun for students entering grades three-12.
