LV students advance to State History Day

Several students of the La Vernia Independent School District attended the San Antonio Regional History Day Awards Assembly following competition Feb. 24-25.

Students placing in the top four positions received medals, and the top two positions will be competing at the Texas State History Day Competition in Austin Friday and Saturday, May 4-5.

La Vernia students participating included:

•Emma Weber, junior individual website, first place

•Mark Robertson, junior individual documentary, second place

•Jordan Green, senior individual documentary, second place

•Bo Garcia, junior individual exhibit, second place

•Tyler Reinhardt, junior individual website, third place

•Morgan Mills, senior individual exhibit, honorable mention

•Zainah Saadi and Kylie Northam -- junior group website, honorable mention

•Morgan Burns, Devon Vackar, and Natalie Moody -- junior group exhibit

•Kaitlyn Steele, junior individual exhibit
