Earlier this year, the Stockdale Independent School District (ISD) participated in “Pennies for Patients,” a fund-raiser for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The world’s largest voluntary health organization is dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services.

More than $4,000 was donated through this effort. As part of the fun, we “Taped the Principals”’ to the wall. All three principals were willing to allow our students to pay $1 for a piece of tape, which was used to tape them up against a wall. The money went to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The junior high and high school students gathered in the gym to see Sharon Dunn and Sandra Lynn taped to the wall as music played and fun was had by all.

The elementary students sat around outside listening to music, cheering, and watching as the taping of Lee Dockery was done.

It was an interesting way to wrap up the fund-raiser for such a worthy cause!
