ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Barbara Jo Pauley Fisher of La Vernia, Texas, 65, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012. She was born on Jan. 6, 1947, in Charleston, W. Va., to Robert G. and Betty K. Pauley.

Barbara married her husband, Tom, on July 24, 1964. She worked for Seadrift Pipeline Co. and Dow Pipeline for almost 20 years. She dedicated more than 15 years to the Victoria County 4-H program. She cherished the annual Wilson family reunion in West Virginia and Florida. Barbara loved the family vacations with her grandchildren, especially the cruise, the trip to Disney World, and to West Virginia. She loved collecting Snow Babies and Lladro porcelain. Barbara’s grandchildren were her absolute pride and joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her nephew, Robby Williams.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Tom A. Fisher of La Vernia; her daughter, Tammi Frederick and husband Robert of La Vernia; her sons, Danny Fisher and wife Leah of Victoria and Shannon Fisher and wife Sabrena of Schroeder; her sister, Sally Williams and husband Bill of Seabrook; her brothers, Ron Pauley and wife Julie of Largo, Fla., and Tim Pauley and wife Sarah of Houston; and her grandchildren, Amber, Chelcie, Kaci, Ashley, Kayla, Amanda, Brianna, and Trevor.

The family received friends Thursday, April 5, from 1-2 p.m. in the Grace Funeral Home in Victoria.

A memorial service was held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Bob McGlaun officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the National Fibromyalgia Association, 2121 South Towne Centre Place, Ste. 300, Anaheim, CA 92806; or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
