ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.

Larlene B. Martinez, 80, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2012, in Floresville, Texas. She was born March 14, 1932, in Comfort, the daughter of Percy Bowles and Guadalupe Davila.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Gloria and Mary; and a brother, Percy.

Larlene is survived by her husband, Hilario “Larry” Garza of Floresville; her daughter, Ronnie Martinez of Austin; her son, Peter Martinez and wife Jodee of Dripping Springs; her stepdaughters, Donna Guevara and husband Adam and Jeri Garza, all of Poth; her sisters, Sophia Craig of Virginia Beach, Va., Goldie Acuna of Corpus Christi, Roselie Moreno of Austin, and Leola Price of Austin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A rosary will be recited Thursday, April 19, at 11:30 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated following the rosary in the church, with the Rev. Phil Henning officiating.

The family extends its heartfelt thank-yous to Regency Manor nursing home, Odyssey Health Care, Dr. John Ryan, and his nurse, Terry.

Inurnment will follow at a later time.
