You won’t want to miss the 42nd annual Texas Ladies State Chili Cook-off to be held Friday and Saturday, April 20-21, in Starcke Park at 1400 S. Guadalupe St. in Seguin.

Activities will begin Friday at 4 p.m. with the cooks’ registration and party. Final onsite registration will continue at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

The ever-popular, zany sportsmanship competition will begin at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Vendors will be selling craft items as well as taste-tempting foods. Attendees are welcome to bring coolers with (non-glass containers) beverages into the park.

Admission is free.

Additionally, the Classic CASI Chili Pod will hold a Memorial Cook-off on Sunday, April 22. The cook-off is open to all newcomers, and all chili must be cooked on-site.

Persons wishing to serve as volunteer judges can call the Seguin Area Chamber of Commerce before 5 p.m. on Friday, April 20.

For more information, call the Seguin Area Chamber of Commerce at 830-379-6382 or 1-800-580-7322.
