Friday, April 13

Compared to last week: Hay movement light under limited buyer demand. Most hay buyers and sellers continue to negotiate new-crop hay prices with many prices not yet confirmed. Many buyers are still not willing to build inventories until new-crop price levels are set and are willing to only purchase limited needs. Recent rains around the state have benefited grasslands and demand for supplemental feeding is limited. Prices for hay and pellets quoted per ton except where noted.
