ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. The deadline to enroll for spring credit by examinations in the Stockdale Independent School District is Friday, April 27.

Students in the Stockdale ISD may use credit by examinations to accelerate one grade level in grades 1-5, or to earn credit in academic courses in grade levels 6-12.

Students in grades 1-5 may demonstrate mastery in a grade level by scoring a grade of 90 or above on each grade-level test in four general core curriculum areas: language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies.

Students in grades 6-12 may take the credit by examinations to receive credit for an academic subject with or without prior instruction. To earn credit by examination with prior instruction, a student shall earn a grade of 70 or above. For credit by examination without prior instruction, a student shall earn a score of 90 or above for credit to be awarded.

Testing for credit by examination will be conducted Monday through Wednesday, June 4-6.
